چکیده

We present a statistical study of magnetic field vector residual between Swarm observations and two Earth models: the 13th generation International Geomagnetic Reference Field (IGRF) model CHAOS-7 model. Statistics these residuals are important for estimating potential errors satellite operations when using models as reference, well magnetosphere-ionosphere-thermosphere studies examining energy input into system. Magnetic calculated differences estimation at positions from 2014 to 2020. both increase geomagnetic activity level increases, largest magnitude difference can be around 1800 nT with relatively small angle differences. The shows lower compared IGRF-13. North-south hemispheric asymmetries seen in high Kp values larger than 6 southern hemisphere (SH) having more frequent occurrence 300 nT, especially during SH summer. Most large appear high-latitude region seeing additional South Atlantic Anomaly region. Midnight noon sectors show strongest interhemispheric asymmetries. northern above 75° latitude throughout all local times SH. Identifying under levels is helpful studying response ionospheric disturbances hemispheres.

Saturn's Magnetic Field and Magnetosphere.

The Pioneer Saturn vector helium magnetometer has detected a bow shock and magnetopause at Saturn and has provided an accurate characterization of the planetary field. The equatorial surface field is 0.20 gauss, a factor of 3 to 5 times smaller than anticipated on the basis of attempted scalings from Earth and Jupiter. The tilt angle between the magnetic dipole axis and Saturn's rotation axis i...

Response of the magnetosphere-ionosphere system to a sudden southward turning of interplanetary magnetic field

[1] A sudden southward turning of interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) is simulated by the University of Michigan’s BATS-R-US model. The main goal of this study is to determine the time delay as well as physical processes between when an IMF discontinuity reaches the bow shock, when reconnection is initiated at the magnetopause, and when the ionosphere starts to react. While observations or empi...

Cassini observations of planetary-period magnetic field oscillations in Saturn’s magnetosphere: Doppler shifts and phase motion

[1] Cassini magnetic field observations show that few-nT oscillations near the planetary rotation period, first observed in Pioneer-11 and Voyager-1 and -2 fly-by data, are essentially ubiquitous in Saturn’s magnetosphere, though their character differs between the quasi-dipolar ring current region and the dawn tail. Examination of data from the ringcurrent region shows, however, that the obser...

Designated magnetic field design for magnetic drug guidance in BNCT

In this paper, a local magnetic field was designed and simulated using a Helmholtz coil along with a ferromagnetic core with an appropriate geometric Structure to concentrate a magnetic flux. This field can be used for magnetic guiding of Boron-borne drugs in BNCT.

Magnetic Energy Storage and the Nightside Magnetosphere–Ionosphere Coupling

The change in the magnetic energy stored in the Earth’s magnetotail as a function of the solar wind IMF conditions are investigated using an empirical magnetic field model. The results are used to calculate the two normal modes contained in the low-dimensional global model called WINDMI for the solar wind driven magnetosphere–ionosphere system. The coupling of the magnetosphere–ionosphere (MI) ...
